A little about me
I have a desire to collaborate with my patients and their families in helping them move forward in their journey toward holistic health—caring about their physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. I put compassion into practice and try to live a life of service to others, being joyful and grateful for this privilege. There is value and dignity in each person I encounter in both my personal and professional environments.
I enjoy weightlifting, quiet hours of prayer and meditation, my two German Shepherds and all things outdoors with an emphasis on mountain biking, kayaking, camping, and hiking. Spending time with my two teenage boys is my favorite—I’m their biggest fan as they pursue their individual passions for sports (football and track) and becoming skilled in worship with voice and instruments (guitar and piano). Playing competitive Ultimate Frisbee with them is an absolute blast, even though I am the oldest one on the team by 30 years!
My Training
I’m a Family Nurse Practitioner and a Primary Care Provider for Choice Physicians Group of Overland Park, Kansas with over 20 years nursing experience. I graduated with a BSN from University of Wisconsin-Madison 1998, and am a recent MSN graduate of Spring Arbor University Michigan 2019. “There are many people who can do big things, but there are very few people who will do the small things.” -Mother Teresa
